[0017] Embodiments of the invention provide a conversion engine to enable mobile devices to retrieve content from network sites, where the mobile device and the network site use different languages. In one application, a conversion engine is used to couple mobile devices using a first language to a network site using a second language. This allows for a device that is operable using a first language to be coupleable to network sites that use either the first language or a second language.
