The method includes capturing at least one datum representing a bill to be paid, called a consolidated datum, from a pre-existing support; formatting the consolidated datum by a collection application of the payment terminal, delivering a digital invoice; displaying the digital invoice by the collection application; transmitting to a payment application of the payment terminal at least one datum, called a transactional datum, representing an amount to be paid according to at least one element of the digital bill.
