A power saving (PS) scheduling process is provided for scheduling uplink and downlink frame transmissions between a PS transmitter and at least one PS receiver using PSAD sequences in a wireless communication system. Sequence generation and transmission method based on time and frequency domain transmission unit

A method for generating / transmitting a transmission-unit symbol sequence is disclosed. In the case of transmission information, the information is modulated in time and frequency domains on the basis of a predetermined transmission unit (e.g., a transmission time interval TTI or slot), simultaneous transmission of the information is made, and then a transmission unit symbol is generated / transmitted. A transmission sequence is masked in each symbol contained in one transmission unit. Symbol-unit circular shift (cyclic shift) is applied to the masked result, so that transmission efficiency increases. A control signal transmission method for supporting a variety of formats and a signal transmission method based on a prime-length sequence are also provided.

Dynamic Path Selection

A switch / router dynamically selects a path from multiple available paths between a source destination pair for a frame. A hash function generates a hash value from frame parameters such as source ID, destination ID, exchange ID, etc. The hash value is given as an input to a plurality of range comparators where each range comparator has a range of values associated with it. If the hash value falls within a range associated with a range comparator, that range comparator generates an in-range signal. A path selector module detects which range comparator has generated the in-range signal, and determines a path associated with that range comparator from previously stored information. The frame is transmitted via the selected path. The ranges associated with each range comparator can be non-overlapping and unequal in size. The number of range comparators can be equal to a number of selected multiple paths.

The downshift criterion value is set as a value that decreases as the vehicle speed deviation, which is a difference between a vehicle speed and a target vehicle speed, increases. By using the downshift criterion value, an increase in the vehicle speed deviation resulting from a quick downshift on a steep downhill can be restrained. On a gentle downhill, a downshift is not performed even if the vehicle speed deviation assumes a significant value. Thus, it becomes possible to inhibit the vehicle speed from becoming lower than the target vehicle speed during a short period after downshift. Accordingly, an increase in fuel consumption and deterioration of noise of the engine can be restrained.
