APC-3K3A Promotes Wound Repair in an In Vivo Excisional Model

[0077]Materials & methods

[0078]C57BL / 6J mice were at 7-8 weeks of age when starting wounding protocol. Mice were obtained from and housed at Kearns Facility, Kolling Medical Research Institute, under a 12 h light / 12 h dark cycle at 22° C.

[0079]Full-thickness skin wounds were made using an iris scissor and a sterile 6-mm punch biopsy tool was used to outline a pattern on the dorsum of the mice.

The present application relates to wound repair and wound healing by the application of a therapeutic amount of Activated Protein C-3K3A (‘APC-3K3A’).
