Method for determining DFS channel availability in a wireless LAN

A LAN has a wireless portion which includes access points and wireless communications devices and a wired portion which includes such things as routers, servers, and a PBX. The LAN operates in a radio frequency band where certain channels (DFS channels) are shared with a signal that is of higher priority than the communications signals transmitted and received by the access point and the wireless communications devices. If a higher priority signal is sensed on a particular channel of the wireless medium by a master device, it is necessary for all of the slave devices communicating on this channel to stop transmitting on that channel within a short period of time. The wireless communications devices are mobile and can be easily transported around in space or roam during a communications session. While roaming during a communications session, it is likely that the communications device will move out of range of an access point with which it is currently associated and possibly cause the session to end prematurely, and so it is important that a handoff procedure operates so that a communications session is continuous as the communications device roams from access point to access point. By setting and maintaining a timer dedicated to each available DFS channel, it is possible to ensure that the communications sessions is not interrupted during the roaming process in an environment were certain channels are shared with a higher priority signal.

The invention discloses a Zigbee information channel dynamic selection method based on real-time availability. In the invention, the concept of information channel availability is provided for the first time, the information channel availability is updated by the availability algorithm in real time, and information channels can be dynamically selected according to availability sequence in an information channel resource pool, which is marked by a broken line in the figure. Parameters for the information channel availability indicate the vacancy rate and communication quality of the information channel and show practical available conditions of the information channel. Therefore, the parameters for the information channel availability can be used for guiding selection of the information channel in practical data transmission, so as to provide a communication support, increase the data transmission success rate, and reduce the collision rate and retransmission rate to the largest extent. Based on the vacancy rate and quality of the information channel, data transmission results and other parameters, the invention provides the real-time availability algorithm. The real-time availability algorithm not only provides a high-quality vacant information channel with more selection chances, but also ensures the fairness of information channel selection to the largest extent and enables the information channel to be selected by relative fair chance, thereby improving the utilization rate of the information channel. In the invention, the strategy to build the information resource pool to manage information channel resources is provided; information channels are sequenced based on the parameters for the information channel availability; and the ZigBee information channel is selected according to the sequencing result, thereby realizing the Zigbee information channel dynamic selection method based on real-time availability.

The invention discloses a data link anti-interference method based on autonomous interference detection and real-time channel allocation. Targeted at a contradiction between low-delay transmission and anti-interference processing in a data link system applied to missile catching and controlling operation, channel interference detection and assessment are performed autonomously through receiving equipment, and available channels are selected autonomously, so that the anti-interference capability of the data link system is enhanced. The receiving equipment performs repeated sampling, statistics and assessment on the channels in sequence according to set frequency sweeping time. Real-time channel availability is given according an interference judgment condition. After available channels are found, working frequencies of a transmitting end and a receiving end are controlled through an instruction in order to rapidly switch to a target channel. Through adoption of the method, interference on the low-delay data link system is avoided on a system level; the equipment anti-interference processing complexity and cost are lowered; and the anti-interference capability of the system is improved remarkably.

Channel availability detection method and system, and spectrum management method

The invention discloses a channel availability detection method and system, and a spectrum management method, which are applied in a cognitive radio system. The detection method comprises the following steps that: a network element in a secondary system issues a channel monitoring command and indicates cognitive users to monitor the primary user signal of an appointed channel; and for each channel, the network element calculates the channel availability of the channel by adopting an exponential type model according to the values of the interference parameters of the channel reported to each cognitive user within a period of time. The spectrum management method comprises the following steps that: the network element carries out channel priority ordering according to the calculated values of the channel availability and distributes an available channel with the highest channel priority for the cognitive users issuing a channel request after the calculation of the channel availability is completed according to the method. After the detection method with channel availability and the spectrum management method and system are adopted, the channel distribution of the cognitive users on a network side is more reasonable, channel switch is reduced, and the channel availability detection method and system and the spectrum management method are beneficial to the performance stability of the network.
