Pallet having spacers made of electrically conductive plastic material and spacers made of non-electrically conductive plastic material

A pallet for a pallet container for storing and for transporting liquid contents has an upper deck made of profiled sheet steel and a substructure having a plurality of plastic feet or runners. The pallet is grounded electrically. In order to ensure a reliable electrical discharge (electrical grounding) of, for example, electrostatic charging, accompanied by the properties of a high resistance to mechanical loading, fewer than half the plastic feet or runners are made of plastic material which is electrically conductive and more than half the plastic feet or runners are made of plastic material which is not electrically conductive.

Packaging having protective materials incorporated therein

A packaging article for protectively storing perishable paper products that includes protective materials that protect the packaging article and its contents from any of a number of threats including water damage, fire damage, mold, insects, bacteria, fungi and theft. The packaging article comprises a bottom wall, side walls and a closure that surround and define an interior cavity in which the paper products are stored or transported. Each of the bottom wall, side walls and closure are made from a plurality of layers. Protective materials are applied to one or more of the bottom wall, side walls and closures by either impregnating a paper or cardboard with a suitable chemical, applying a film thereover, spraying a coating thereover or sandwiching the protective material between two adjacent layers. Suitable chemicals that produce the desired properties include, but are not limited to wax, oil, plastic, polybrominated diphenyl ether, polybrominated biphenyl, brominated cyclohydrocarbons, boric acid and hydrogen peroxide. A radio frequency identification tag may also be received within the wall of the packaging article to protect the same against theft.

Transport and storage container for liquids

A transport and storage container for liquids has a support frame of electrically conducting metal or plastic material. An inner plastic container is positioned on the support frame and has an electrically conducting exterior layer for electrically grounding the outer surface of the inner container. The inner container has an outlet socket with an electrically conducting outer layer arranged near the bottom. The outlet socket is formed as a unitary part of the inner container and has an outer cylindrical end drawn inwardly to form an inner ring with an annular electrically conducting inner layer that is in contact with liquid in the inner container for electrically grounding the interior of the inner container. The electrically conducting inner and outer layers of the outlet socket and the external container layer form a homogenous electrically conducting layer providing inner and outer electric grounding.

Antistatic paint cup

An antistatic reusable cup holder and fluid supply assembly. One or more of the reusable cup holder, disposable cup, disposable lid, or reusable outer lid is made of an antistatic material. In use, the chargeable particles in a coating mixture do not stick to the disposable cup so that uniformity of the coating mixture is maintained while it is dispensed. A method of maintaining the uniformity of a coating mixture during dispensing is also described.

Method and system for protecting privacy of signatures on mail ballots

Methods and systems that provide privacy of signatures on envelopes containing ballots are provided. The envelope for returning ballots includes a flap with a window that aligns with a signature area on the envelope. The window appears opaque under normal lighting conditions, but appears transparent when illuminated with light having a predetermined wavelength. A movable signature stub is positioned on top of the signature area. The voter signs the back of the envelope on the signature stub, thereby imprinting a signature on the signature area by transferring a material from the signature stub to the signature area, and moves the signature stub. The flap of the envelope is then sealed, thereby covering the voter's signature in the signature area with the window of the envelope flap. To read the signature, light having the predetermined wavelength can be directed onto the window, thereby rendering the window transparent and the signature visible.

Liquid crystal glass panel packaging structure

The invention provides a liquid crystal glass panel packaging structure. The packaging structure comprises a packaging box and a plurality of buffer bodies which are arranged in the packaging box, wherein each buffer body comprises a body and an antistatic layer which is arranged on the surface of the buffer body, which faces the liquid crystal glass panel. With the adoption of the liquid crystal glass panel packaging structure, the buffer bodies are adopted to buffer the liquid crystal glass panel during the transportation by a manner of composite molding the buffer material and the antistatic material, so that the damage of the liquid crystal glass panel caused by the static electricity produced during the transportation is effectively prevented. As the price of the composite material is low, the transportation cost is effectively reduced.

Packaging

A package 10 is disclosed which is adapted to receive and protect goods, such as for example electronic components 16. The package has a body which includes a translucent window 14 formed from a flexible laminated sheet material. A first layer 40 of said laminated sheet material comprises an environmental protection ply 30 including an inorganic oxide (SiO2) deposited onto a first carrier ply and a second layer 42 of said flexible sheet material comprises an electrical protection ply 32 including an electrically conductive material Al deposited onto a second carrier ply. The first and second carrier plies are laminated together in a back-to-back relationship and at least one and preferably both said protection plies 40, 42 has a heat-sealable outer ply 20 laminated thereto. In this manner, a package 10 according to the present invention provides at least a portion thereof comprising a translucent flexible sheet which is adapted for use as a window 14; 140 through which items such as goods or associated labeling can be inspected whilst in the package, e.g. in order to monitor the state of the items and / or to monitor conditions present or past to which items therein have been subjected.

Container for shaving cartridge or other stored item

Sealed package that includes a formed plastic container, a shaving cartridge (or other stored unit) in a storage region in the container, and a removable film that covers and is sealed to a sealing surface around an entrance to the storage region. Side walls of the container have retaining structure that protrudes inward and retains the shaving cartridge (or other stored unit). The container has a lip adjacent to and extending from a side wall of the container at an entrance to the storage region to space a user's finger or thumb from the entrance during removal of the cartridge. The removable film has deadfold characteristics which facilitate removal of the cartridge when the film is still partially connected at the rear of the container. A plastic tab is attached to a portion of the film extending beyond the sealing surface of the container to initiate peeling of the film from the sealing surface. The plastic tab is spaced from the formed plastic container by a gap.
