Abstract

The present invention provides a bicycle shifter with pressure spring, which is used to operate a hub speed-changer or a chain speed-changer of bicycle. The shifter is composed of a shifter housing with a stop contour; a cable reel with speed changing coils; and a handle part with a projection, a stop and a fastener. A compression spring with a catch section and a clamping spring section is arranged between a handle part of the housing and the cable reel. The compression spring is placed into the cable reel with cooperating shape, and a catch immerses into the stop contour of the shifter housing. The gear shifting movement is started by the handle part on the compression spring. Before the catch is pushed out from the stop contour in the releasing process of the projection, the compression spring is compressed and simultaneously reversibly deformed. The cable reel is accelerated by the compression spring in the cable releasing direction when the stop action is relieved.
