Embodiment Construction

[0022] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and in conjunction with the best embodiments.

[0023] Due to the adoption of the dormancy mechanism, when the node has no data to send, it will only wake up when the dormancy clock expires. Therefore, if another node needs to send data to this node, it needs to send a long series of preambles, so that the node can listen to it when it wakes up, and then enter the receiving state. Therefore, there is a one-to-one correspondence between the length of the preamble and the sleep period of the node. In this embodiment, the wireless sensor network MAC layer monitoring dormancy method is applied to the MICA2 platform, and seven kinds of dormancy periods and corresponding preamble lengths are provided, as shown in Table 1. Depending on the complexity and actual usage of the wireless sensor network, different sleep levels can be selected.

Abstract

A monitor dormancy method for MAC layer of wireless sensor network is disclosed, which includes steps: 1) every other dormancy period, the node is waken by dormancy clock to detect channel; 2) judges that it receives the lead code or not, if yes then receive the whole lead code, said lead code contains the information of target node; 3) judges that the target node of received lead code is the present node, if yes then converts into receiving state, else go next step 5); 4)if it does not detect the lead node, receive the next byte until the byte number is bigger than the length of lead code, and then go to next step; 5) resets the dormancy clock to convert into dormancy state. The lead code frame is led into the lead code in the method, which can be used to judge the address of target node of data, and the node just receives little lead code to judge that it should convert into receiving state or keeping on dormancy.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an energy-efficient MAC layer monitoring and dormancy method in a wireless sensor network, in particular to a monitoring and dormancy method of preamble framing. Background technique [0002] In wireless sensor networks, considering the cost of the entire network, working environment and other factors, the energy of nodes is often supplied by batteries. On the one hand, the energy of the battery is very limited, and at the same time, in many application environments, such as field environmental detection, etc., it is difficult to replenish the energy of the battery. Therefore, how to use battery energy reasonably and efficiently is a very important issue in wireless sensor network applications, which involves the lifetime and effective working time of the entire network. In wireless sensor networks, the energy consumed by data communication accounts for the vast majority of all energy consumption, and the MAC layer is the part...
