Embodiment Construction

[0034] Exemplary embodiments according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Here, when an element is considered to be connected to a second element, this element may not only be directly connected to the second element but may also be indirectly connected to the second element through other elements. Furthermore, for the sake of brevity, some elements that are not necessarily required for a complete description may be omitted. Also, like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout.

[0035] Referring to FIG. 2, an organic light emitting display includes a pixel portion 30 having pixels 40, a scan driver 10, a data driver 20, and a timing control unit 50 according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The pixels 40 are connected to scan lines S1 to Sn and data lines D1 to Dm. The scan driver 10 drives the scan lines S1 to Sn. The data driver 20 drives the data lines D1 to Dm. The timing control unit 50 controls the sc...

Abstract

The present invention discloses an organic light emitting display capable of displaying images of uniform brightness regardless of leakage current. The display includes scan lines and data lines crossing each other. The display also includes red, green and blue pixels having red, green and blue organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), respectively. Each of the red, green and blue pixels includes a switch portion for transferring a data signal to a data line according to a scan signal from the scan line. The red, green and blue pixels respectively include driving circuits for supplying current to the connected red, green and blue OLEDs according to the data signal from the switching part. At least one of the respective switching sections included in the red, green and blue pixels has a different number of transistors than at least one other of the respective switching sections.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application enjoys the priority and benefits of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2006-0074588 filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Office on August 8, 2006, and is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety. technical field [0003] The present invention relates to an organic light-emitting display device, in particular to an organic light-emitting display capable of displaying images with uniform brightness and independent of leakage current. Background technique [0004] Various types of flat panel displays have been developed, which have the advantage of being lighter and smaller than cathode ray tubes (CRTs). Flat panel displays include liquid crystal displays (LCDs), field emission displays (FEDs), plasma displays (PDPs), and organic light emitting displays. [0005] Among flat panel displays, organic light emitting displays utilize organic light emitting diodes to emit light through the recombi...
