A transmission method for a channel quality instruction information cycle and a subframe offset is disclosed, which is applied to an LTE system for a long term evaluation. The method of the invention comprises the steps: channel quality instruction information, namely, all combinations of a CQI information feedback cycle and a CQI subframe offset in a system is determined; the corresponding relationship between the combination of the COI information feedback cycle and the CQI subframe offset and the index value are stored in a base station and a terminal; after configuring the COI informationfeedback cycle and the CQI subframe offset for the terminal, the base station finds the index value corresponding to the COI information feedback cycle and the CQI subframe offset according to the stored corresponding relationship, and then the index value is sent to the terminal.
