Abstract

Embodiments of the invention disclose a method, a system and an equipment of instant message, comprising the following steps: a mobile switching center server of a sending terminal receives the instant message from a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) user of the sending terminal; the mobile switching center server of the sending terminal will split the instant message into a plurality of short messages, the mobile switching center server of the sending terminal will send the plurality of short messages to a mobile switching center server of a receiving terminal through a short message center so that the mobile switching center server of the receiving terminal can change a plurality of short messages into the instant message for sending to the SIP user of the receiving terminal. In the embodiments of the method, the mobile switching center server realizes that an ordinary SIP user can send and receive an ultra-long instant message in a CS network and assure the ultra-long part not lost through splitting the ultra-long instant message into a plurality of short messages for receiving and sending.
