Abstract

The present invention discloses a process for removing impurities, such as tert-butyl mercaptan, from crude terbufos liquid and a device thereof. The main unit of the device is a vertical falling-film distillation column, which utilizes the difference between the boiling points of the terbufos and the impurities such as the tert-butyl mercaptan; when the system temperature is at 80 DEG C plus or minus 2 DEG C, the impurities, such as the tert-butyl mercaptan, are separated from the terbufos; and the impurities, such as the tert-butyl mercaptan, are upwardly extracted out through a vacuum system, while the terbufos downwardly enters into a liquid-collecting chamber. The purity of the product processed by the system is increased from previous 80 percent to 85 percent to more than 90 percent, thus meeting the requirement on an exported product. The process and the device, which are suitable for small and medium enterprises producing organophosphorus pesticides, have the advantages of little equipment investment, high efficiency, energy saving and quick returns.
