The invention discloses a compensating measurement method of polishing wheels and a device therefor; with the assistance of a speed measuring motor, a contact wheel which contacts with and rotates synchronously with the polishing wheels is adopted to measure wear condition of the polishing wheels; the device comprises the contact wheel which contacts with the polishing wheels of a polishing machine and the speed measuring motor which is coaxially connected with the contact wheel for measuring abrasion loss of the polishing wheels; a signal output end of the speed measuring motor is connected with a radio transmission module by a input voltage converter for converting the measured abrasion loss into voltage signals and transmitting the voltage signals to a control master computer by the radio transmission module; the signal input terminal of the control master computer is connected with a radio receiving module by the output voltage converter for receiving radio-frequency signals and calculating obtained compensation dosage and compensating the polishing wheels by control programs.
