Benefits of technology

The technology described by this patented method allows multiple relays within one communication device (such as two base stations) communicate with each other through an intermediary called a central station or hub that acts like both devices' main controller and coordinator. This helps improve overall efficiency while also making sure all connections are made correctly at once.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed in this patented text relates to improving efficient coordination between different types of devices called base stations during CoMP systems that include many remote radio heads connected via wired networks. Current methods require significant manual intervention from both the main controller's and individual components involved in these processes.

Embodiment Construction

[0021] The technical solutions of the present invention will be described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0022] Considering that the centralized relay selection method will increase the complexity of system implementation, the present invention assigns the relay selection process to each relay node in the wireless multi-relay cooperative transmission network, so that it does not need to be deployed in the network The powerful master control node and the processing of message transmission between the master control node and other relay nodes reduce the complexity of system implementation through self-adaptive selection of each relay node according to its own channel state information.

[0023] The application scenario of the distributed relay selection method can be as follows figure 1 shown in figure 1 S is the source node, D is the destination node, and R is the relay node. After relay selection, identify the selected...

Abstract

The invention relates to a distributed relay selection method, wherein a relay node participating in cooperative transmission is selected at least from one relay node, and a selection flow comprises the steps that: each relay node respectively estimates the channel state information of a forward link and a backward link of per se; each relay node calculates per se channel quality according to thechannel state information and compares the channel quality obtained from the calculation with a judging threshold; when the channel quality is larger than the threshold value, the relay node is confirmed to participate in the cooperative transmission and sets the timing internal of a per se timer to be a universal time value, wherein the universal time value is smaller than a preset time value; or else, the relay node is confirmed not to participate in the cooperative transmission and sets the timing interval of the per se timer to be a time value larger than the preset time value. The invention also relates to a relay selection device. The invention is suitable for the relay selection in a multi-relay wireless cooperative transmission network, and through distributed selection means, theinvention can effectively reduce the complexity in the process of the relay selection while not lowering the system performance, thereby improving the integral system performance.
