Abstract

The invention discloses a method for scheduling wireless access protocol (WAP) gateway resources and associated equipment, which are used for solving the problems that unbalanced utilization ratio of each WAP gateway resource, low system reliability and the like caused by that gate equipment of the conventional packet switched domain can only access the only statically configured WAP gateway. Themethod for scheduling the WAP gateway resources comprises the following steps of: acquiring the number of service requests, which each WAP gate administrated by a WAP gateway resource scheduling server processes currently, by using the WAP gateway resource scheduling server and determining the current resource utilization ratio of each WAP gateway; when determining that the current resource utilization ratio of each WAP gateway meets a WAP gateway resource reconfiguration starting condition, reconfiguring the service requests distributed to the WAP gateways of which the current resource utilization ratio excesses a resource utilization ratio threshold value to the WAP gateways of which the current resource utilization ratio does not excess the threshold value; and generating current WAP gateway resource routing tables according to the reconfiguration result and distributing the current WAP gateway resource routing tables to each piece of administrated packet domain gateway equipment.
