The method comprises the following steps: a business process engine manager and a business process engine are arranged at a cloud end; the business process engine receives a business request, and calls cloud resources to execute the business process corresponding to the business request; and the business process engine manager allocates the business process engine and the cloud resources according to the service condition of the business process engine. The invention also provides a business process management system based on cloud computing environment. By using the technical scheme, the invention can carry out dynamic, flexible and intelligent management on cloud end service components and monitor the service condition of the cloud resources by utilizing the business process manager and the business process engine, thereby maximally displaying the efficacy of cloud resources and lowering the TCO of enterprises.
