The invention provides a program signature and upgrade error recovery method based on a universal serial bus (USB) flash disk carrier. The program signature method comprises the following steps: reading the inherent identification ID of the current USB flash disk and the original inherent identification ID of a hidden storage partition by a program, and comparing the identification IDs; if the identification IDs are same, continuing to read a signature sequence and judging whether the signature sequence is correct; if the signature sequence is correct, executing the flow after the program signature; and if the signature sequence is incorrect, ending the program operation. The upgrade error recovery method comprises the following steps: storing an original program in the hidden storing partition of the USB flash disk carrier; and if the upgraded program can not operate normally, writing the original program in the hidden storing partition into a program storing partition.
