Abstract

The invention discloses a base station and a method for informing trigger patterns of non-periodic channel state information (CSI) reports thereof, which solves the problem that in the prior art, the trigger mode of the non-periodic CSI feedback is not flexible. In the method, trigger patterns of non-periodic CSI reports and corresponding trigger modes are predefined. The method comprises the following steps: the base station selects one trigger pattern from the predefined trigger patterns and selects the corresponding trigger mode; and the base station informs the selected trigger pattern to user equipment (UE) through the selected trigger mode, wherein the predefined trigger mode comprises at least one of a trigger command, a DCI format of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) containing the trigger command, a search space of the PDCCH containing the trigger command, a high-level parameter and a high-level signaling.
