Abstract

The invention provides a power line carrier modulator-demodulator. The modulator-demodulator comprises an intelligent control module, a serial interface, a coupling module and a power supply, wherein the coupling module is connected with an external power line, the intelligent control module and is used for performing power line signal and digital network signal conversion between the power line and the intelligent control module, the serial interface and the power supply are connected with the intelligent control module, and the intelligent control module controls external equipment through the serial interface. The power line carrier modulator-demodulator is characterized by also comprising a timing module which is connected with the intelligent control module and used for storing timing information. Based on the cooperation of the timing module and the intelligent control module, the autonomous outage or power restriction under an unattended condition can be realized; and better stability is ensured due to the adoption of an external timing module.
