[0014] figure 1 A non-limiting example of a computing system 10 is shown in which motion capture model data can be used to control a user interface executed by the computing system. Specifically, computing system 10 includes a computing device 12 (such as a video game console) that can be used to play a variety of different games, play one or more different media types, and / or control Or manipulate non-gaming applications. figure 1 Also shown is a display 14 in the form of a high definition television or HDTV 16 which may be used to present visual information to a plurality of users, such as user 18 . also, figure 1 A capture device in the form of a depth camera 20 is shown, which may be used to visually monitor one or more users, such as user 18 .

[0015] Capture devices and supporting hardware / software may be used to identify, analyze, and / or track one or more objects, such as user 18 . Movement of interpretable objects is controlled by the operating system and / or the a...

Abstract

The invention discloses project navigation using motion capturing data. A cursor navigation system and a cursor navigation method of controlling the user interface of a computer system by using motion capturing data are provided. The motion of user hands or other objects in a three-dimensional capturing space is tracked and motion capturing module data are displayed in the computer system. The method comprises a step of acquiring multiple positions of an object from the motion capturing module data. The method further comprises the steps of adopting curved-gesture central points based on the multiple positions of the object as origin points; determining an angle property of one from the multiple positions of the object; and performing cursor navigation in a selective project order arrangement based on the angle property.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to project navigation, and more particularly to project navigation using motion capture data. Background technique [0002] A variety of user interfaces are used in computing systems to enable a user to move a cursor to a desired location in a list, thereby highlighting a particular item for selection. However, some lists can be quite large, including hundreds, thousands, or more items. Furthermore, many lists, regardless of their size, have a sequential arrangement of items that a user may wish to browse sequentially. In some situations, a user will wish to quickly step through a large number of items, for example to move to a location away from the current cursor location. In other situations, it may be desirable to make fine and / or slow adjustments and move the cursor only slightly (eg, sequentially browsing through a relatively small number of items to select a particular item of interest once a general area has been...
