Abstract

The present invention discloses event retrieval and alerting based on location-aware queries. Blended search results are provided based on analyzing web queries and locations. Hybrid search results may include web search results and event search results. Event search results can be identified based on identifying a location and web query associated with a user of the search engine. Event search results may include event details such as time, location, and descriptive information. Additionally, an event alert link may be provided. An event alert link may allow the user to receive updates related to the event.
