Abstract

The method for the IP communication among the cluster network elements comprises the following steps that: at least one transmission layer tunnel is established between a first network element and a second network element, wherein the first network element and the second network element belong to the same cluster; if the second network element is in accordance with a transfer processing condition, the first network element packages a control surface message or user surface data to be transferred as a transmission layer message corresponding to one of the transmission layer tunnels; the transmission layer message is packaged as an IP message corresponding to the transmission layer tunnel; the IP message is packaged into a data frame; and the first network element sends the data frame to the second network element. The scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention is favorable for improving the disaster tolerance capability of network equipment and the whole service processing capability of a network.
