Abstract

The invention discloses a system and a method for dynamically regulating the media contents of a video conference. The system comprises a media monitoring terminal, conference terminals, a conference system and a streaming media server, wherein the media monitoring terminal selects a streaming media terminal, and transmits the streaming media terminal to the conference system; the conference system responds to the selection of the media monitoring terminal, and transmits an on demand request to the streaming media server; and the streaming media server returns the media data of the selected streaming media terminal in response to the on demand request of the conference system, and forwards the media data to the media monitoring terminal and a conference terminal specified by the media monitoring terminal through the conference system. Therefore, not only a conference terminal not supporting an on demand function also can share the media data, but also any conference terminal in the conference can selectively synchronously receive the media data.
