Problems solved by technology

The proposal, establishment and development of tissue engineering provide a new strategy for tissue and organ defect repair and functional reconstruction. It can repair larger tissue or organ defects with a small amount of seed cells expanded in vitro and combined with biomaterials. Reconstruction of physiological functions provides guidance for the ultimate realization of non-invasive repair of tissue defects and true reconstruction of shape, structure and function, but its research foundation is too shallow to be realized

Abstract

The invention relates to an application of curcumin C and a derivative C3 thereof in preparing medicine for preventing macular degeneration of retina. The curcumin C and the derivative C3 thereof have an effect on inhibiting acute retinal pegment epitheliitis (ARPE) cell death induced by acrolein, have an action on inhibiting deterioration of ARPE cell mitochondrial membrane induced by the acrolein and have a function on inhibiting the production of active oxygen radicals induced by the acrolein; and the protective mechanism of the curcumin C and the derivative C3 thereof is completed by activating a phase-II enzyme protective system of the cell. The curcumin C and the derivative C3 thereof have pharmacological actions such as anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, tumor resistance, choleretic effect, toxicity resistance of liver cells, antirheumatic, bacteriostasis, hypotension resistance, low cholesterol resistance and senile dementia resistance, and belong to the safe and simplified medicine with high curative effect.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the fields of biology and medicine, in particular to the application of curcumin C and its derivative C3 in drugs for preventing and treating macular degeneration of the retina. Background technique [0002] Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is one of the blinding eye diseases that occur in middle-aged and elderly people. Its etiology is unknown. It may be related to long-term chronic light damage of the macula, heredity, metabolism, ethnicity, diet and other factors. Research results show that the onset of AMD is closely related to the atrophy and degeneration of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells. RPE cells are located between the neural retina and the choroid. Under normal circumstances, RPE cells play a key role in many important ocular functions, such as phagocytosis of the outer segment of photoreceptor cells, physiological adsorption of neural retina, blood retina The maintenance and the transportation and s...
