Abstract

The mixing rod having attached blades, the blades being of the propeller type or the impeller type, including propellers or impellers that are elongated flat-plate, curved, or contoured. The blades have arched projections extending upward or downward, or both. The arched projections are formed so that material to be blended or mixed can flow through the arch, that is, under the arch, when the blades are rotated. The blades optionally have apertures or holes therethrough, which apertures or holes, when present, are under or otherwise adjacent to the arched projections.

Description

[0001] cross reference [0002] In the United States, this application is a continuation of US Patent Application Serial No. 11 / 998,904, filed December 3, 2007, which is incorporated herein by reference. [0003] Statement Regarding Government-Sponsored Research or Development [0004] Not applicable [0005] References to the Microfiche Addendum [0006] Not applicable technical field [0007] This invention relates to propeller blade type dynamic mixing devices for mixing or blending powders and fluids such as wall putty to obtain a homogeneous mixture, and for mixing viscous fluids such as paint, and more particularly to mixing materials and viscous fluids A mixing head with a novel blade structure in a uniform state. Background technique [0008] Mixing devices having blades are disclosed in the art. For example, U.S. Patent 579,668 to Wilson discloses a stirring device having coaxially rotating blades provided with radial fins each deflected in opposite directions ...
