Abstract

An embodiment of the invention discloses an Apache Solr-based method and system for searching media assets. The method comprises that an Apache Solr receives a retrieval request sent by a user; device situations of master and slave Lucene index databases are detected, and the retrieval request sent by the user is balanced into all index databases; and according to retrieval conditions in the retrieval request, objects which meet retrieval conditions are found out from master and slave index databases and are returned to the user. By the aid of the embodiment, a cluster deployment method which is provided by the Apache Solr is used, and the search time is shortened and the accuracy rate is improved through searching of dynamic fields.
