Abstract

The invention discloses a method, equipment and a system for detecting a display screen without a video signal. The method comprises the following steps of: capturing an image of the whole screen of a display screen to be detected; calculating a histogram of the captured image; determining an image, of which the histogram meets the preset distribution, as a candidate image; judging whether adjacent candidate images are similar based on the distance between the histograms of the adjacent candidate images; and outputting a signal which shows that a video signal is absent in the display screen under the condition that the number of similar continuous candidate images reaches the preset value. By the scheme, the detection reliability and detection precision can be improved.
