The metamaterial satellite antenna comprises a feed source, a reflection plate, a flat plate supporting rod with one end fixedly connected with the reflection plate and the other end fixedly connected with the feed source, and a fastening frame for mounting the flat plate supporting rod to a wall, wherein one end of the fastening frame is hinged with one point on the flat plate supporting rod; the other end of the fastening frame is hinged with one end of a sliding rod; the other end of the sliding rod moves in the axial direction of the flat plate supporting rod through a limiting structure; the reflection plate is a metamaterial plane reflection plate; the metamaterial plane reflection plate comprises a core layer and a reflection layer arranged on one side surface of the core layer; the core layer comprises one core layer sheet layer or multiple same core layer sheet layers; each of the core layer sheet layers comprises a sheet-shaped first base material and a plurality of first artificial microstructures arranged on the first base material; and the refractive index distribution of single core layer meets the specific formula.
