The preventing method provided by the invention is that the therapeutic dose of folic acid is taken for at least three years. The invention can reduce the occurrence rate of the colorectal adenoma, thereby further preventing the colorectal cancer. The preventing effects of the folic acid on the colorectal adenoma on the different parts at different time are different; and the preventing effects on the left half colonic adenoma and high grade adenoma are better.
