Abstract

The invention discloses a management method for neighbor cell information. The method includes: re-selecting a cell residing in an E-UTRAN (evolved universal terrestrial radio access network) by UE (user equipment), determining the cell previously residing is out of a neighbor list of a current residing cell, reporting information of the current residing cell to an ENB (evolved node B), and adding lacked neighbor information to the neighbor list of the current residing cell of the UE by the ENB. The invention further provides a management system for neighbor cell information. By the use of the management method and system for neighbor information, lacked neighbor relation can be added timely, neighbor detecting and reporting load of the UE is relieved, capability of acquiring high-level neighbor information by a network side is increased, call-drop resistance of the system is further improved, and the system's capability of maintaining device call continuity is improved.
