Abstract

The invention discloses a surge protection device comprising a first voltage-sensitive resistor which is connected in parallel between a live line and a zero line of a power grid, a second voltage-sensitive resistor which is connected in parallel between the zero line and an earth line of the power grid, and a third voltage-sensitive resistor which is connected in parallel between the live line and the earth line of the power grid. The surge protection device also comprises a first surge detection circuit which is connected in series to the lower end of the first voltage-sensitive resistor and is used for detecting the number of surge impacts of the first voltage-sensitive resistor, a second surge detection circuit which is connected in series to the lower end of the second voltage-sensitive resistor and the lower end of the third second voltage-sensitive resistor and is used for detecting the number of the surge impacts of the second and / or the third voltage-sensitive resistor.
