The present invention further provides a method for carrying out coal liquefaction by using the catalyst, wherein the method comprises: adding the catalyst to a coal oil mixture under an air-free condition, uniformly mixing to obtain a slurry mixture, mixing with hydrogen, preheating, carrying out a hydrogenation reaction at a certain temperature under a certain pressure, and separating after completing the reaction to obtain the coal liquefaction material.
