According to the method, a starch indicator is added into a hydrochloric acid medium; a newly-prepared potassium iodide solution is dropwise added; after the solution is obviously blue, a sodium thiosulfate standard solution is immediately utilized for titration until the blue is vanished; then the potassium iodide solution is dropwise added until the solution is obviously blue, the sodium thiosulfate standard solution is utilized for titration until the blue is vanished; the process is repeated until the blue is not deepened when the potassium iodide is dropwise added; the solution is continuously titrated to a final point according to a traditional iodometry.
