WIFI network configuration method and system

Abstract

The invention discloses a WIFI network configuration method. The method comprises the following steps that: an MAC address and a password of a WIFI network access point (AP) are sent to a client by a multi-cast way; the client obtains the MAC address by a package capturing way and the WIFI carries out searching and finds a corresponding SSID; and WIFI network adding is carried out by the password. The password data fill at least one of the last bits of the multi-cast IP address in a segmented mode. According to the invention, intelligent terminals like a mobile phone and a tablet personal computer and the like in the house can be used; and information can be transmitted to equipment supporting WIFI connection by the air stably, conveniently, and rapidly, so that the WIFI equipment can add to the WIFI network stably, conveniently, and rapidly.
