Embodiment Construction

[0032] To allow parallel tile processing for systems containing loop filters (eg DF, SAO, ALF), embodiments according to the invention employ loop filters that do not rely on neighboring tile data. As mentioned earlier, the DF, SAO, ALF processes rely on adjacent data to derive parameters and control filtering. For DF, SAO, ALF, the filtering operation also depends on neighboring pixels. The present invention removes data dependencies of DF, SAO, ALF at tile boundaries to allow independent tile-based processing. Data dependencies across tile boundaries may be applied only to loop filtering processing. Optionally, data dependencies across tile boundaries are applied to determine filter information (including parameter derivation and / or filter control) at the same time as the in-loop filter process. Thus, embodiments of the invention allow parallel processing of tiles in an image.

Abstract

The invention discloses a video data loop filtering processing method and device thereof. Data dependencies of correlation loop processing across tile boundaries are removed according to embodiments of the present invention. According to an embodiment, if cross-tile loop processing is disabled, the loop processing is reconfigured to remove data dependencies across tile boundaries. The above-described loop filtering processing corresponds to DF (Deblocking Filtering), SAO (Sample Adaptive Offset) processing, or ALF (Adaptive Loop Filtering) processing. The above processing may be skipped for at least one tile boundary. In another embodiment, the pixel classification track is populated or modified with data based on pixels of the current tile to remove data dependencies across tile boundaries. Whether to disable cross-tile loop processing may be indicated using a flag encoded at the sequence, picture, or slice layer to indicate whether data dependencies across at least one tile boundary are allowed.

[0001] cross reference [0002] This application claims priority as follows: U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 61 / 550,636, filed October 24, 2011, entitled "Non-Cross-Tiles Loop Filtering"; No. 61 / 554,601, filed 2011 U.S. Provisional Patent Application, Nov. 2, titled "Non-Cross-Tiles Loop Filtering and Syntax Design"; Serial No. 61 / 558,664, filed Nov. 11, 2011, U.S. titled "Tile Information Adaptation" Provisional Patent Application. The aforementioned US Provisional Patent Application is hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0003] The invention relates to video coding. In particular, the invention relates to a video coding technique associated with filtering, processing at tile boundaries. Background technique [0004] Motion estimation is an effective inter-frame coding technique that utilizes temporal redundancy in video sequences. Motion compensated inter-frame coding (motion compensated inter-frame coding) has been widely used in various inter...
