Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows for precise location detection by flying small drones equipped with an omnium radio frequency (RF) transmitter attached to its wings or tail fins. It uses this technique without requiring physical contact between the drone's body and ground equipment like radar systems. By measuring the strength of signals from multiple rotors mounted above the plane, the system accurately tracks the orientation of each drone within 360 degrees around itself while also controlling their altitude accordingly. Additionally, the airborne platform used in these methods includes a receiver called a microphone array placed near the center of gravity where they are located. Overall, this technology provides technical benefits such as improved efficiency, reduced energy usage, faster response times, better tracking capabilities, and more accurate indoor navigation data collection compared to current technologies.

Problems solved by technology

Technological Problem addressed in this patents relates to finding precise positions within areas where there may be no easy access points like windows due to fires caused by natural causes. Current techniques require expensive equipment and limited accuracy when searching through complex environments containing many unknown objects.

Embodiment Construction

[0042] The present invention proposes a wireless positioning method in the air (GuideLoc for short), the main idea of which is: firstly, in order to reduce the total flight distance, how to divide the target area into multiple unit partitions is studied. The study then determines the shortest search curve that passes through the center of each unit partition. Finally, we study how to locate the target wireless device in each zone. Its positioning features are as follows: detect the wireless signal of the target wireless device through the wireless sniffer installed on the aircraft, and use the directional antennas installed on the aircraft in different directions to receive the wireless signals sent by the target wireless device in the target area, among which the signal strength is the strongest The direction of the target wireless device is the direction where the target wireless device is located, so as to obtain the angle of arrival (AoA) of the target wireless device, a...

Abstract

The invention discloses a target wireless device positioning method based on regional division. The method comprises a step 1 of dividing a square target region to obtain N*N square unit subregions, a step 2 of calculating a search curve of an air vehicle in a target region, and a step 3 of taking the center of a unit subregion nearest to the air vehicle as a starting point and positioning each target wireless device in the unit subregions in such a manner that the air vehicle orderly searches the unit subregions in the target region. The target wireless device positioning method based on regional division is characterized in that all target wireless devices can be detected in the flight process, a fine-grained map of any point is provided and the positioning accuracy is improved. Meanwhile, the air vehicle is controlled to directly fly towards the target by thoroughly utilizing the directionality of the received signals and by use of regional division based flight line algorithm; compared with the existing warflying method, the target wireless device positioning method based on regional division has the advantages that the traversing scanning of the target region according to a predetermined space filling curve is avoided, the total flight distance is reduced and the power consumption of the air vehicle is reduced.
