Embodiment Construction

[0044] refer to figure 1 -9, shows an embodiment of the ring binder of the present invention in a three-ring notebook, which is indicated by 101 as a whole. Notebook 101 includes a cover 103 (broadly, a "substrate") and affixed to the cover and operable to selectively hold and release loose-leaf pages ( figure 1 not shown in ) or other items that can be stored on the ring mechanism 105.

[0045] Such as figure 1 Notebook enclosure 103 has spine 107 as shown. Front and rear covers 109, 111 of enclosure 103 are hingedly attached to spine 107 along opposite sides of the spine. The front and rear covers 109, 111 of the enclosure 103 can be moved relative to the spine 107 in a manner known to those skilled in the art to selectively expose or cover the loose-leaf pages held by the ring mechanism 105. In the illustrated embodiment, ring mechanism 105 is secured to rear cover 111 adjacent spine 107 . However, the ring mechanism 105 could be secured to a different portion of the n...

Abstract

The invention provides an annular loose-leaf binder mechanism of an integrated structure. Each ring comprises a ring component which can move between the opening position and the closing position. Each ring and a body form a single-piece integrated structure made of plastic polymer materials. The first ring components and the second ring components are in a non-deformation state at the opening positions. The first ring components and the second ring components can move to the closing positions from the opening positions through elastic deformation of the first ring components and the second ring components. The rings can be operated in a mode similar to that of a conventional metal loose-leaf binder so that a loose leaf can move from the first ring components to the second ring components. The situation that the rings are opened accidently due to the weight of the loose leaves arranged on the rings is prevented through a retaining system, and a user is allowed to open the rings with smallest effort.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of the patent application with application number 201010201171.2 and titled "Ring Binder Mechanism with Integral Structure" filed at the China Patent Office on June 9, 2010. technical field [0002] The present invention relates generally to a ring binder mechanism for holding loose-leaf pages, and more particularly to a ring binder mechanism made of a moldable polymeric material. Background technique [0003] Ring binder mechanisms having rings for selectively holding loose-leaf pages are well known. This mechanism is usually affixed to other mechanisms such as notebook covers, file folders, clipboards, etc., so that these mechanisms hold loose-leaf pages. Many conventional ring binder mechanisms have a metal housing that houses pivoting hinge plates that support a ring member that can be positioned between an open position for adding and / or removing pages and a closed position for retaining pages. movement between. Thes...
