The method comprises: acquiring refresh data of one or more page modules when one or more page modules in the whole page corresponding to one webpage of a client terminal are refreshed; and rendering the refresh data of one or more page modules to the whole page corresponding to the webpage to replace the original data of the original one or more page modules, and modifying URL address of the current browser corresponding to the webpage as a new URL address. According to the method and apparatus provided by the present invention, the address bar URL of the browser is dynamically changed under the condition that the page is not refreshed; the web content is conveniently shared; the address of the browser is dynamically changed; the functional pages can be switched without refreshing the pages; a server request is carried out once by pagelets refreshing, so that the page function increment switching is implemented; the server connection frequency is lowered; the browsing history records are minimized in the pages of the same domain; and the redundant history records are reduced.
