The invention discloses a method and a device for acquiring a content. The method and the device belongs to the field of Internet. The method comprises the steps of receiving an acquiring request information which is transmitted by an application client, wherein the acquiring request information carries an application identification and a first user identification of a user, and the first user identification of the user is used for identifying the user in an application which corresponds with the application identification; transmitting the application identification and the first user identification of the user to a network server so that the network server acquires an identification list according to the application identification and the first user identification of the user, wherein the identification list comprises the first user identifications of the friends of the user; receiving the identification list which is transmitted by the network server, and acquiring the content which is uploaded by the friends of the user according to the identification list. According to the method and the device of the invention, the acquired contents are uploaded by the friends of the user, thereby preventing acquiring of the content which is uploaded by a stranger. As the user has a low interest in the content which is uploaded by the stranger, the method and the device of the invention save a large number of network resources and time.
