Abstract

The invention discloses a realization method and system for a software defined networking based on application layer forwarding and relates to the field of software defined networking (SDN). The method comprises following steps: a flow chart for SDN is designed on the basis of application layer information forwarding and protocol packet header of a second layer to a fourth layer matching; the flow chart in the SDN frame is expanded to the application layer; matching fields of the flow chart for the SDN comprises one or more matching unit and each matching unit is defined by a quintuple wherein the quintuple comprises five fields: "position", "length", "data characteristic", "data information", and "mask scope"; after the flow charge is designed, through the flow chart data forwarding for the SDN, the forwarding based on the traditional second to fourth layer and the application layer are simultaneously supported.
