The method comprises the steps that a creating request from a teacher client side is received; a virtual teaching desktop is created according to the creating request, and the virtual teaching desktop is returned to the teacher client side; a login request of requesting for logging in the virtual teaching desktop from a student client side is received; the virtual teaching desktop is returned to the student client side according to the login request; when the teacher client side requests for entering a teaching mode, the control permission is redirected to the teacher client side; and when the teacher client side operates on the virtual teaching desktop according to the control permission and generates a first new virtual teaching desktop, the first new virtual teaching desktop is encoded firstly and then transmitted to the student client side, and the student client side decodes the first new virtual teaching desktop and then displays the first new virtual teaching desktop. With application of the aforementioned mode, cloud teaching can be realized, and the process of the virtual teaching desktop is synchronized to the teacher client side and the student client side at the cloud server so that the fluency of synchronization of the virtual teaching desktop can be enhanced.
