Abstract

The invention provides a calling method and device. The method comprises the following steps: when a calling request which requires to be communicated with a second terminal is received, then detecting a first cellular network signal value of a first cellular network where a first terminal is currently located; judging whether the first cellular network signal value is smaller than a preset threshold; and if so, then responding to the calling request, and switching to an internet protocol IP phone mode through a first wireless fidelity WIFI network where the first terminal is currently located. According to the calling method and device provided by the invention, the IP phone mode can be switched automatically under the condition that the first cellular network signal value of the first cellular network where the first terminal is located is lower, so that a call between terminals can be guaranteed and the user experience can be improved.
