Abstract

The invention provides a route convergence method and device which can be applied to network equipment. The network equipment includes a first interface and a second interface, the first interface is attached to a first interface board, and the second interface is attached to a second interface board. The route convergence method includes the steps of: if the first interface board is restarted, obtaining FIB table items of all the other interface boards of the network equipment from a main control board, and issuing the FIB table items to a driver of the first interface board; after all the FIB table items are issued to the driver of the first interface board, sending a message of synchronous completion of the FIB table items to a corresponding protocol progress through an RIB process; and searching an enabling interface on the first interface board through the protocol process, and establishing a neighbor with opposite-terminal equipment through the enabling interface.
