Embodiments of the invention provide a terminal booting control method and a terminal booting control system, and relate to the technical field of electronics. The method and the system are provided in order to make up for the defect that the existing technology of automatic booting based on infrared user detection is of low precision and is vulnerable to environmental impact. The method comprises the following steps: synthesizing images containing a human body simultaneously shot by a first camera and a second camera at each of N shooting moments within a preset period of time into N 3D images; extracting the human body contour in a 3D image corresponding to a first image, wherein the first image is any of the images shot by the first camera at the N shooting moments; acquiring distance information corresponding to at least one pixel in the human body contour on the 3D image corresponding to the first image; comparing the difference between the distance information corresponding to the determined at least one pixel of the N 3D images is within a preset threshold range; and if the difference is within a preset threshold range, generating a booting instruction, and opening the terminal according to the booting instruction.
