Abstract

The present invention relates to a home gateway apparatus. The home gateway apparatus includes a gateway master control circuit and a temperature sensor circuit. The gateway master control circuit is used for accessing an external network to a home internal terminal. The gateway master control circuit accesses the external network by using a network side interface, and is connected with the home internal terminal by using a user side interface. A first output end of the temperature sensor circuit is connected with a first input end of the gateway master control circuit. The temperature sensor circuit is used for detecting a temperature of the home gateway apparatus, and outputting an electrical signal corresponding to the temperature to the gateway master control circuit. When the electrical signal exceeds a first threshold, the gateway master control circuit adopts a corresponding QOS policy to reduce power consumption. The home gateway apparatus can monitor the temperature at any time, and dynamically adjusts a flow according to the temperature so as to reduce the power consumption, therefore, the problem of larger power consumption of a traditional home gateway caused by continuous upgrade of throughput of an accessed bandwidth is solved, the user experience of a certain network service is ensured, and a safe network environment is also ensured.
