Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a file downloading method and device and a user terminal. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a download link returned by a first server, wherein the download link includes a first total byte length of a target file; initiating an HTTP request of downloading the target file to a second server which corresponds to the download link; receiving HTTP response header information returned by the second server, wherein the HTTP response header information includes a second total byte length of a current file; and when the first total byte length is consistent with the second total byte length, starting to download the current file. The method is simple and efficient; an interface protocol between a client and a server side does not need to be modified; the correctness of application distribution is ensured; the download success rate is increased; and the download experience of a user is improved.
