Abstract

An FA equipment configuration design assistance device (10) for editing profiles of FA equipment which include definitions for equipment identification information and settings and setting ranges, is provided with: a profile storage unit (14) which stores profiles; a user-specific information region reserving function (151) which reserves an item entry input region to which user-specific setting values can be written for items defined by a profile stored in the profile storage unit (14); a user-specific information writing function (152) which writes, to the item entry input region, item entries defined by a profile edited by a first user; and a user-specific information storing function (153) which stores, in the profile storage unit (14) and as a user-defined profile, a profile including the item entries written in the item entry input region.
