Abstract

The invention relates to a detection method for sensitivity to a fire by a smoke detector. The detection method comprises: a fire laboratory is constructed in advance, wherein at least a plurality of to-be-detected sample machines of smoke detectors, a smoke generating unit for make smoke, and a plurality of smoke detectors for monitoring smoke concentrations are arranged in the fire laboratory and a processor in communication connection with the to-be-detected sample machines and the smoke detectors is also arranged; the smoke generating unit is started and is controlled to make smoke with the concentration reaching a calibration value within a predetermined time range; the processor monitors whether the to-be-detected sample machines carry out alarming in real time and records time of sending alarming signals by the corresponding to-be-detected sample machines; and after the smoke concentration in the fire laboratory reaches the calibration value, the processor stops monitoring on the to-be-detected sample machines. According to the invention, response time of the detectors in fire sensitivity testing can be measured visually and relative proportions of differences of response time of the sample machines with different structures can be estimated. Therefore, the using frequency of the fire sensitivity test can be improved substantially and the working efficiency of research and development testing can be enhanced.
