Embodiment Construction
[0099] A series of evaluations were performed using the liner and non-adhesive components described herein to assess the repositionability or slip characteristics of the bonded articles. In particular, samples embodying the present subject matter and marked with the "RS" suffix are compared to the corresponding samples. Specifically, the subject "RS" samples were compared to equivalent counterparts having the same bonded component construction and materials as the RS samples. However, as described herein, the RS samples included a liner assembly with a deformable layer and an effective amount of a non-adhesive component disposed along its release face. Comparisons were made by subjecting two sets of samples to one or more of the following tests: (i) 180 degree peel adhesion on stainless steel for different dwell periods, (ii) static shear evaluation, (iii) loop tack, and (iv) Shear Adhesion Failure Test (SAFT).
