Abstract

The invention discloses a breeding method of a glossy cucumber female line. The method comprises the following steps: hybridizing the glossy cucumber germ plasm with female-line cucumber germ plasm to obtain a generation 1; performing backcrossing by taking the glossy cucumber germ plasm as a recurrent parent to obtain backcrossed 1st-generation seeds, namely a generation 2; in a generation 3, selecting male inducing sister cross in a nursery separation way for polymerization of glossy character and female character, and selecting and remaining seeds; and after that, performing male inducing selfing, purifying the glossy female line in an obvious nursery and a seed selection nursery, and performing selfing of 2-3 generations to obtain the glossy cucumber female line. According to the invention, in the generation 3, through the male inducing sister cross in a nursery separation way, the contradiction between the seed selection and the seed remaining through the polymerization of glossy character and female character is effectively solved; and moreover, the early generation effectively maintains more excellent genes to facilitate later selection of a selfing system with good comprehensive characters.
